Periodontics has given me the chance to combine my passion for dentistry as well as for surgery. It allows me the opportunity to work closely with my patients to teach them about their periodontal and gum health and how it relates to their overall well-being. I truly enjoy getting to know my patients and am grateful that my profession affords me the opportunity to build relationships with them.
I received my Bachelors of Science degree from the University of California, San Diego where I graduated Summa Cum Laude. I then attended dental school at the University of Maryland Baltimore where I received my Doctorate in Dental Surgery degree. Having loved the school, I also completed my residency in periodontics there and received a Masters in Science. I feel fortunate to have had excellent clinicians as my instructors during my residency training. Though I perform and enjoy all aspects of periodontal and implant surgery, treating gum recession has become a big part of my practice and is a favorite procedure of mine. In 2014, I became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
I grew up in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and now live in Towson with my husband Charlie and our sons Cyrus and Lucas. I enjoy being outdoors, gardening, and baking when I’m not busy with dentistry. I also cannot get enough time with our sons to watch them grow!
